Forthcoming Book

Over the last couple of years, I've been hard at work on an endeavor close to my heart—writing "The Philosophical Foundations of Machine Learning."
Forthcoming Book
Machine learning has rapidly transformed our world, no doubt. Still, in our collective quest to understand its technical aspects, we may have missed the fundamental philosophical principles that support it—something I hope my book can address.
"The Philosophical Foundations of Machine Learning" represents my humble exploration of the philosophical issues raised by machine learning. My investigation places particular focus on questions of epistemology and ontology—or, instead, knowledge and existence, respectively.
I explore supervised learning, reinforcement learning, and deep learning… and their philosophical ramifications, including whether machines can genuinely learn anything, what learning is, what exactly constitutes data, and how we can navigate its ethical repercussions when making machine learning decisions.
This book does not propose to offer definitive solutions to these complex issues. Instead, it is intended as an invitation to begin (or extend) a dialogue about artificial intelligence (AI), apart from algorithms and data, by looking beyond them toward its philosophical foundations.
Come with me as I journey through "The Philosophical Foundations of Machine Learning." Together, we'll investigate the underpinnings of machine learning, undoubtedly one of today's most fascinating and transformative fields!
